I went to Las Vegas recently to visit one of my old friends from high school who now lives there. We had a blast exploring the popular tourist spots, people watching, and enjoying the “winter weather” of the desert.
As it turned out, Las Vegas also had some pretty nice running spots to check out. My favorite was Red Rock Canyon. This place has a wide one-way road (13.1 mi) throughout the park as well as miles of trails that weave through the beautiful rock formations and climb up into some of the peaks above the canyon. I really enjoyed my run through this park–going a total of about 11 miles and 2700 ft. Check out all of my data on Strava.
My running shoes always travel with me, and running has become a way to see more of the place I’m visiting. Plus, you can’t miss out on getting your miles in just because you’re on vacation.
Til next time, Vegas. Stay warm.
